Aviation Procurement Professional
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the procurement team in managing material and logistics needs of both new aircraft and transition aircraft streams. This includes project management, strategic vendor relationships, and budgeting for cabin upgrades and reconfigurations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the project management of new aircraft Buyer-Furnished Equipment (BFE) milestones to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
* Represent procurement in key meetings such as Initial Technical Coordination Meetings (ITCMs) and First Article Inspections (FAIs).
* Oversee strategic vendor and manufacturer relationships to ensure timely equipment availability.
* Provide leadership in sourcing and budgeting for cabin upgrades and reconfigurations.
* Represent the organisation at industry conferences and milestone meetings.
* Drive negotiations and evaluate pricing for critical equipment.
* Oversee comprehensive budget management and finalise aircraft accounting.
* Develop and implement General Terms Agreements (GTAs) with suppliers.
Requirements:
* Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proficient in IT with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement processes within the aircraft leasing, airline, or Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) sectors.
* Comprehensive understanding of new aircraft Buyer-Furnished Equipment (BFE) milestones and procurement workflows.
* Demonstrated success in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
* In-depth knowledge of General Terms Agreements (GTAs) and ability to enforce supplier deliverables effectively.
* Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
* Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide.
