Job Title: Support Worker
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, ensuring their dignity and respect are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Personal care: Assist clients with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
* Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
* Maintain clients' dignity and respect: Treat clients with kindness, respect, and empathy, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
* End of life care: Offer sensitive and compassionate care to clients nearing the end of their life, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
* Dementia care: Develop strategies to engage and stimulate clients with dementia, promoting their independence and quality of life.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Personal experience and willingness to work towards QQI Level 5 or QQI Level 5 modules / Care Skills and Care of the Older Person.
* A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care and support.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A valid driver's license (an advantage).
