Customs Clearance Coordinator
This role focuses on the timely and accurate clearance of customs entries in accordance with Irish Customs regulations and company procedures.
1. Prepare, review, and submit export and import customs entries to ensure compliance with regulations and deadlines.
2. Coordinate the processing of customs clearance documentation for a diverse customer base.
3. Conduct thorough due diligence checks and implement escalation processes as necessary.
4. Collaborate closely with the operational team to maintain up-to-date information and ensure seamless communication.
5. Establish and maintain effective relationships with customs authorities.
6. Work closely with key account customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
7. Ensure accurate Duty/VAT collection and processing.
8. Resolve any queries or issues promptly and propose continuous improvements to enhance clients' experiences.
9. Maintain data quality on our Supply Chain Visibility platform to ensure accurate information is presented to customers.
Requirements
1. A minimum of 2 years' experience in completing customs entries in a freight forwarding environment is required.
2. Experience with Customs software such as Thyme IT is essential.
3. Knowledge of DAFM requirements is advantageous.
4. Excellent understanding of Irish customs procedures and systems.
5. Quick and accurate data entry skills are necessary.
6. Strong organizational skills with effective communication abilities.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
8. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required.
