Role Overview:
Manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate records to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Record and process financial transactions accounts payable/receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
* Prepare and file VAT returns on time to minimize penalties and fines.
* Assist with month-end and year-end financial closings to provide timely financial insights.
* Maintain accurate organized financial records to facilitate easy access and decision-making.
* Support in the preparation of financial reports to inform business strategy and drive performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar role, with a strong attention to detail.
* Knowledge of Irish tax regulations e.g. VAT, including compliance and reporting requirements.
* Proficient in accounting software e.g. QuickBooks Xero, to streamline financial processes and improve productivity.
* Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
* Good understanding of financial statements and accounting principles to provide informed analysis and recommendations.
