Dental Implantologist (Sessional / Visiting Basis)
Commitment: 1–2 days per month (sessional basis, flexible scheduling)

We are a growing, patient-focused dental group with multiple clinics across the West and South of Ireland. Our ethos centres on delivering high-quality, long-term dental care built on trust, communication, and clinical excellence. We are expanding our range of services and now wish to add an experienced Dental Implantologist to our multidisciplinary team.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will join our team on a sessional basis, providing implant consultations, surgical placements, and restorative follow-up as part of an integrated treatment approach. You will work collaboratively with our general dentists and clinical support staff to plan and deliver predictable, evidence-based implant care.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform implant assessments, planning, placement, and/or restorations (depending on your preferred scope).
* Work closely with referring dentists within our group to provide treatment plans and follow-up care.
* Deliver exceptional patient communication and ensure informed consent and expectations are clearly managed.
* Maintain accurate, compliant clinical records in line with Dental Council and HIQA standards.
* Contribute to the development of implant protocols and internal training for our team.
* Participate in occasional case review sessions or interdisciplinary meetings as required.
Requirements
* Fully registered with the Irish Dental Council.
* Postgraduate training and clinical experience in implant dentistry (minimum 3 years preferred).
* Strong diagnostic, surgical, and communication skills.
* A commitment to patient-centred care and ethical practice.
* Professional indemnity covering implant dentistry.
* Preferably operates using their own implant system and surgical kit.
* Experience mentoring or supporting GDPs with implant restoration.
* Familiarity with digital workflows and CBCT interpretation.
* Ability to travel between clinics (as desired; sessions may rotate across sites).
(The clinic provides full clinical support and patient coordination, but implant components and surgical tools are generally practitioner-supplied.)
