The Role

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering a flagship Agentic AI transformation programme for a major UK Telecommunications provider. Operating from our Innovation Hub in Athlone, you will manage complex, multi-stream delivery across AI platforms, cloud infrastructure, and telecom network domains.

This is a hands-on delivery role requiring strong technical understanding and the ability to engage confidently with engineers, architects, and telecom SMEs. You will be responsible for turning complex plans into predictable outcomes, ensuring delivery remains aligned to technical reality, business objectives, and regulatory constraints.


Key Responsibilities

* End-to-End Delivery Ownership: Own delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality are effectively managed.

* Technical Programme Coordination: Work closely with Engineering Managers, Architects, DevOps, and SMEs to align delivery plans with technical dependencies and constraints.

* Planning & Execution: Build and maintain detailed delivery plans, milestones, and release schedules across Agile and hybrid delivery models.

* Risk & Dependency Management: Identify, track, and mitigate delivery risks, technical dependencies, and cross-team constraints.

* Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary delivery interface for internal leadership and client stakeholders, providing clear, accurate status updates.

* Governance & Reporting: Ensure delivery adheres to agreed governance frameworks, producing clear reporting on progress, risks, and outcomes.

* Change & Scope Control: Manage scope changes in a controlled manner, ensuring impacts on timelines, cost, and delivery are clearly understood.

* Operational Readiness: Coordinate readiness activities including documentation, handover, and transition to operations.


Must-Have Skills

* Proven experience delivering complex technology projects in enterprise or regulated environments.

* Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles, cloud platforms, and modern engineering practices.

* Hands-on experience working with Agile delivery teams and technical stakeholders.

* Excellent planning, organisation, and dependency management skills.

* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with engineers, architects, and senior stakeholders.

* Experience managing delivery risk, governance, and reporting in multi-stream programmes.

* Ability to balance delivery discipline with flexibility in fast-moving technical environments.

* Extensive experience working in Agile enviroments and introducing best practices for Agile/Scrum teams.

* Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.


Nice-to-Have Skills

* Telecom domain knowledge across RAN, Core, OSS/BSS, or Fixed Access networks.

* Experience delivering AI, automation, cloud, or data-driven transformation programmes.

* Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other public cloud environments.

* Experience working in hybrid Agile / waterfall delivery models.
