Job Description: We rely on our IT systems to help our business reach and succeed with consumers all over the country. We are seeking a Technical Systems Specialist that will support the delivery, maintenance, and continuous improvement of business systems and applications. This role requires a strong technical background, the ability to support software development activities, and assist with helpdesk escalations. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and the wider dealer network to ensure high quality system performance and project delivery.ResponsibilitiesSystems and ApplicationSupport integrations, API based services, and cloud hosted applicationsWork with third party development partners on requirements, documentation, testing, and release preparationAssist with version control, code reviews, and system documentationDevelop internal tools or utilities to improve operational efficiencyHelpdesk Escalations and Technical SupportServe as an escalation point for complex systems, software, and workflow issuesProvide hands on troubleshooting and root cause analysis for application related incidentsSupport the helpdesk team during peak periods and critical incidentsCollaborate with developers and vendors to resolve defects and system errorsAssist internal and external users during planned updates or system rolloutsProject Delivery and GovernanceDeliver technology and software projects using structured project management approachesCapture requirements, define project scope, and document business processesCoordinate with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and business teamsMonitor project risks, progress, and communication activitiesSupport change management and adoption of new features or systemsSoftware Quality AssuranceCarry out functional, regression, and integration testingLog issues with clarity, prioritise them appropriately, and follow through to closureSupport user acceptance testing and gather feedback from business usersMaintain test plans, acceptance criteria, and quality documentationArtificial Intelligence and AutomationUse AI tools to support documentation, analysis, troubleshooting, and development tasksIdentify opportunities for AI driven automation within business systems and support processesAssist staff in the safe and effective use of AI technologiesContribute to AI related initiatives across internal systems and operational workflowsRequired Skills and ExperienceA relevant third level degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related fieldTwo to five years' experience in a software, systems, or application focused IT roleStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilityExperience with system integrations and APIsUnderstanding of the software development lifecycle and release managementExperience supporting or maintaining business applicationsStrong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical usersAbility to manage workload across development, support, and project activitiesExperience working with third party development partnersStrong team playerPreferred Qualifications and ExperienceExperience with modern CRM Systems (Salesforce, MS Dynamics, others)Experience with scripting, automation, data workflows, and minor feature enhancementsPractical experience using AI tools for automation, analysis, or workflow improvement
