The role manages all quality activities related to New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring products meet customer, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements before full production release.
Key responsibilities include developing quality plans, control plans, and FMEA, overseeing process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and managing first article inspections and NPI approvals.
The role also ensures a structured SOP-driven NPI process, performs data analysis and reporting, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across SMT and post-SMT manufacturing processes.
The position requires strong knowledge of PCB assembly, Surface Mount Technology (SMT), IPC-A-610 standards, and electronics testing methods (ICT, flying probe, functional testing).
It also involves monitoring quality KPIs such as yield, scrap, customer returns, and defect levels, while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Overall, the role ensures new products are introduced into production efficiently, with robust quality controls and minimal risk to manufacturing and customers.
