Job Description:
A Cybersecurity Operations Analyst is responsible for daily security monitoring, incident handling and regulatory compliance activities.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on security experience or a strong IT support background looking to progress into a more specialized cyber role within a highly regulated environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Monitoring and reviewing alerts across firewalls, EDR and IDS/IPS platforms.
* Performing tool health checks and taking action as required.
* Managing and responding to security tickets, engaging with users when necessary.
* Assisting in initial incident triage and escalating as appropriate.
* Supporting audits by gathering technical information and evidence.
* Maintaining and updating internal security standards and procedures.
* Troubleshooting issues related to tools, agents and endpoint protections.
* Installing and maintaining security software across endpoints.
* Contributing to compliance activities and regulatory reporting.
* Occasionally supporting internal tech assessments or documentation reviews.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Desired skills include experience in cybersecurity or IT support, familiarity with common security tools and operational processes, understanding of servers, networking, virtualization and cloud fundamentals, strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, and comfort learning new tools.
