Senior Lead Planner / Scheduler – Offshore Transmission & Grid Infrastructure Projects
Location: Cork, Ireland (Hybrid – 2 days per week in office)

Our client, a leading global consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Lead Planner / Scheduler to support the delivery of a major portfolio of offshore transmission and grid infrastructure projects across Ireland.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a long‑term programme of work focused on critical energy infrastructure, supporting the integration of renewable energy and future network development.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning and scheduling function across a complex infrastructure project portfolio
Develop, maintain and integrate programme schedules using Primavera P6
Establish and continuously improve scheduling standards, governance processes and project controls
Coordinate and challenge schedule inputs from contractors, consultants, developers and internal stakeholders
Conduct critical path analysis, forecasting, progress measurement and variance reporting
Support schedule risk assessments, scenario planning and recovery planning activities
Deliver executive‑level programme reporting and schedule performance insights
Mentor and support project controls and planning professionals across the programme
Requirements
Significant experience in planning, scheduling or project controls within major infrastructure, energy, utilities, transmission, construction or engineering projects
Advanced Primavera P6 expertise
Strong understanding of programme controls, schedule governance and integrated project delivery
Experience managing complex stakeholder interfaces and contractor schedules
Ability to challenge assumptions and drive schedule‑led decision making
Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline
Power BI and advanced Excel skills would be advantageous
Location & Flexibility
This role requires attendance at the Cork office two days per week.
The client is open to candidates relocating to Ireland and can provide relocation support where required. They are also happy to consider candidates based elsewhere who can commit to being present in Cork for the required two days each week.
This is an initial 12-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension, forming part of a long-term strategic infrastructure programme.
