We are hiring Senior House Officer (SHO) – Cardiology to our Leading Hospitals in South Dublin, Ireland.
Job Type: Fixed Term / Full-Time
Responsibilities
Follow the hospital admission process by documenting patient history and physical examinations on MEDITECH.
Assess, review, and document patient findings as requested by Consultants and Nursing Staff.
Provide clinical support during procedures in departments such as Cardiology and Radiology.
Order investigations including radiology, blood tests, and diagnostic function tests as directed by Consultants.
Prescribe medications and participate actively in ward rounds and patient management.
Respond appropriately to adverse incidents such as patient falls, injuries, or sudden illnesses involving patients, visitors, or staff.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, risk management activities, and evidence-based clinical practice.
Adhere to hospital policies, infection control protocols, health and safety regulations, and safe working practices.
Support the education and training of medical students, interns, and NCHDs through teaching sessions, mentorship, tutorials, and clinical guidance.
Requirements
Current registration with the Irish Medical Council
Must hold the appropriate employment permit to work in a private hospital setting in Ireland
Previous experience in an acute hospital setting
Valid BLS and ACLS certification required
Strong understanding of evidence-based practice and clinical effectiveness
Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
