Position
DesignBuild Search is working with one of Ireland’s fastest growing Mechanical and Facilities contractors. Due to securing new projects they have an opening for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager in Dublin. The successful applicant will be involved in different projects including Health, Commercial, residential, DC and more. This position offers the opportunity to work with directors and offers further career progression.
Requirements
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Previous project management experience with a main contractor or mechanical contractor
Experience on projects valued €5m+
Experience managing a mechanical team
Ability to drive projects under pressure and within strict deadlines
IT literacy with ability to collate and generate detailed site reports
Duties
Lead projects from concept to completion, defining technical requirements
Create and develop project plans including timelines, cost management and resource establishment while ensuring profitability
Establish and maintain strong relationships with client, suppliers and partners
Manage client concerns and ensure timely resolution
Lead, develop and retain staff ensuring efficient service delivery
Plan all resources including labour, materials and subcontractors
Manage procurement process for all mechanical projects, including pricing contracts and tenders for Facilities Management and Project Teams
Lead a large team to meet project requirements and deadlines
Direct and coordinate activities of contracted personnel and third parties
Authorise staffing requirements on site (overtime) and notify HR of unscheduled absences; document and review weekly
Maintain and update records as required
Provide reports and updates on project progress to senior management
Implement company systems correctly at project commencement (Safe Work Plans, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, etc.)
Ensure all projects complete to the highest specification in quality, health and safety and client satisfaction
Act as a brand ambassador and lead the company through its expansion
Perform any other duties as necessary for business efficiency
