Role Overview

As a Senior R&D Engineer, you’ll play a key role in leading product development projects from concept through to commercialization. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll drive innovation, resolve technical challenges, and contribute to the development of technologies that have a meaningful impact on patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and support the design and development of new medical devices and enhancements to existing technologies.
* Contribute to the company’s intellectual property portfolio through innovation and technical advancement.
* Prepare and review design documentation including specifications, technical reports, and risk analyses.
* Investigate and resolve technical issues during development.
* Stay current with clinical needs, disease states, and market trends.
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
* Assist in the creation and execution of verification, validation, and design review processes.
* Drive continuous improvement within the R&D function.
* Invest in your own professional development in both technical and leadership areas.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Required Experience:

* At least 5 years of relevant experience in the medical device industry, with a focus on product development.
* Strong understanding of design engineering principles, including CAD and rapid prototyping.
* Familiarity with finite element analysis and statistical tools is an advantage.
* Solid knowledge of biomechanics and mechanical design.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
* Proven ability to manage deliverables and meet project milestones.
