Centre/Attraction Manager – Carlingford Adventure Centre & Skypark
Overview
Lead one of Ireland’s most exciting adventure and hospitality destinations. Carlingford Adventure Centre and Skypark welcome thousands of guests each year, from schools and families to corporate teams and international visitors. The wider company operates across multiple sites and functions, employing a significant year‑round and seasonal workforce.
Responsibilities
Lead and support departmental heads across activities, catering, housekeeping, front‑of‑house, maintenance, and guest services, providing clear direction and accountability.
Oversee operations across adventure activities (Land, Sea, Sky), accommodating up to 600 clients per day in peak season, as well as accommodation (336 beds), food service (up to 450 covers), and special events.
Ensure full health & safety compliance and champion a proactive, positive safety culture.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest service across all areas.
Manage rotas, budgets, stock, and resources to deliver smooth, efficient daily operations.
Deliver flagship events such as Adventure Lights, corporate programmes, and seasonal activities.
Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to align offers, events, and guest communications with business goals.
Drive continuous improvement in service quality, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
Be financially accountable for centre performance and results.
Lead by example, fostering a hands‑on, high‑performance culture built on teamwork, communication, and accountability.
Requirements
Minimum 8‑10 years’ management experience in adventure, hospitality, or tourism operations.
Proven success leading multi‑department teams and high‑volume operations.
Strong background in health & safety, compliance, and guest service delivery.
Confident in budget management, staff planning, and operational systems.
Degree in Business, Hospitality, or Operations Management (or equivalent experience).
Inspirational leader with strong people and communication skills.
Proactive problem solver with a focus on operational excellence.
Flexible and resilient, available to work evenings and weekends as part of a management rota.
