General Summary
The Microcontroller Sub-System IP team plays a crucial role in enabling embedded processing solutions across various functions and products at Qualcomm.
The team handles security, power management, and other SoC functions across multiple business units (IoT, Mobile, Auto, XR, Compute, etc.).

Responsibilities
Design micro-architecture for both simple and complex digital blocks.
Develop RTL code using industry best practices, handling multi-clock designs, high-frequency requirements, low power, and low latency considerations while ensuring high performance.
Troubleshoot and debug issues during development and support post-silicon bring-up activities.
Create comprehensive design documentation to ensure clarity and maintainability.
Optimize designs for key metrics such as area, power, and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DFT, Implementation, Verification, Emulation, and Firmware teams.
Qualifications & Experience
Positive attitude and a passion for inclusively solving problems.
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of ASIC design experience.
Experience designing complex digital logic blocks.
Knowledge of ISAs such as ARM THUMB or RISC-V.
Understanding of processor or micro-controller system design.
Experience with multi-power-domain and multi-clock-domain designs.
Proficiency in scripting or automation languages like Python or Perl.
Familiarity with state-of-the-art industry-standard digital design tools.
Awareness of challenges when working with lower node technologies.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
