Lifting Equipment Engineer
Our client, a specialist in the design, installation, and certification of lifting equipment, is seeking a Lifting Equipment Engineer to carry out inspections for compliance and certification purposes.
This role will initially be based in South Leinster, but will also include a period working on a project in Finland.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on mechanical or electrical experience, who is detail-oriented and comfortable working independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Perform statutory and routine inspections on lifting equipment including gantry cranes, hoists, and lifts.
Identify and report any safety or compliance issues in line with industry regulations.
Complete inspection checklists, certification documents, and safety records accurately and on time.
Liaise with clients on-site, providing clear communication and professional service.
Ensure all inspections are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
Requirements
Practical mechanical and/or electrical experience (trade qualification not required).
Previous experience with lifting equipment or similar industrial machinery is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and compliance.
Ability to interpret technical documentation and follow inspection protocols.
Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
Full, clean driver's licence and flexibility to travel across the region.
Benefits
€19 per hour + generous overtime (paid at double time).
Paid travel beyond 30 minutes (double time).
