Base pay range
The DPO and Information Compliance Manager will be responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of all the areas within the remit of the office across the university. The Primary purpose of the role is to:
* Lead and manage office operations enabling robust data compliance and governance practices in line with national and EU regulations.
* Develop and implement data protection policies in line with GDPR and other relevant legislation.
* Monitor compliance with internal and external data governance standards.
* Liaise with all functions to ensure secure data handling and breach response.
* Conduct audits and risk assessments related to data management.
* Promote awareness and training on data protection, and other functions under the remit across the university.
* Lead cross‑functional projects and reform initiatives.
* Drive innovation and continuous improvement in service delivery.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior officials and the public.
* Manage staff performance and development.
* Ensure efficient delivery of services and adherence to public service values.
