Oishii Foods are the largest supplier of fresh sushi to the retail sector in Ireland. Due to increased demand, we have recently moved to a dedicated production facility in Bluebell and are looking for a part time Quality Assurance Assistant to join our growing team.
We require an enthusiastic and quality focused person who can work well on their own initiative. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the candidate will be responsible for helping to maintain the FSQS, working with the production teams and following up on non conformances identified.
The role will be onsite at the factory in Dublin 12 and will require weekend working. The role is part time and hours can be flexible for the right candidate.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Collection, monitoring & sign off HACCP docs.
2. Perform internal audits including GMP, hygiene, and G&P audits.
3. Identify and resolve food safety issues on the production floor.
4. Assist in updating SOPs and work instructions.
5. Participation in site visits and audits.
6. Collection of food samples and microbial swabbing.
7. Carrying out risk assessments and validations of processes.
8. Traceability of products.
9. Calibration of pH meters, temperature probes and weighing scales.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Previous working experience in a Quality Assurance role in the food industry.
2. Educated to a degree level in food science or related discipline is desirable.
3. Knowledge and understanding of current food regulations and legislation in Ireland.
4. Ability to work well on own initiative.
