We deliver high-performance, fully compliant Lightning Protection solutions for Data Centers on behalf of our European and global clients.

Co Roscommon or Trim, Co. Meath Ireland – some travel across Europe will be required.
The Role
Due to our increased project workload, we are seeking an experienced Earthing & Lightning Protection Engineer with proven
CDEGS expertise
and a strong background in Data Center projects. You will be responsible for the design, modelling, and implementation of earthing and lightning protection systems, working on technically demanding and time-critical projects throughout Europe.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role that combines design office work with potential for travel to project sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and model advanced earthing and lightning protection systems using CDEGS (SES Software suite).
* Analyse soil resistivity and model system performance under fault and lightning conditions.
* Prepare accurate technical drawings, calculations, and design reports.
* Carry out site surveys, inspections, and commissioning across multiple European locations.
* Ensure all designs comply with EN 62305, BS 7430, IEEE 80, and relevant IEC standards.
* Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure seamless delivery.
* Support installation teams with technical guidance and on-site problem-solving.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven
CDEGS
software experience – design, modelling, and analysis.
* Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
* Proficiency in
CDEGS
,
Autocad,
BIM360
or
3D modelling software
and
MS Office
* Experience working on large data center projects.
* Strong knowledge of IEC 62305, BS 7430, IEEE 80, and relevant IEC earthing standards.
* Solid background in electrical engineering principles.
* Ability to produce and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
* Full EU driving license.
* Willingness to travel across Europe.
