Senior Desktop
Support Engineer
for a permanent position in Dublin city centre.
Working in a high-performance desktop trading environment you will provide technical support to
M365 users
, IT Infrastructure and internal applications. This is a varied role which includes desktop builds, hands-on
Comms Room
duties and systems administration.
Candidates should be able to
disassemble desktop PCs
and replace / upgrade components.
This is an
onsite
role
with excellent learning opportunities.
You should be open to a rotating shift of 9 AM - 5 PM and 6.30 AM - 3 PM.
What will you do?
 * Troubleshoot and resolve desktop and server problems upgrading and replacing desktop components
 * Diagnose and solve hardware and software incidents and problems
 * Act as a central point of contact for all IT infrastructure related requests in relation to servers and IT networks, including maintenance and administration
 * SQL Administration and support
 * System Monitoring - monitoring of systems through operations monitoring and alerts tools
 * Support of Windows Server environment including Exchange Servers
 * Support of Office 365 environment
 * Application & User Support - provide primary support by dealing with user requests and responding to outages for all operational matters
 * Problem escalation to colleagues in other IT Teams where necessary
 * Contribute to the documentation of IT policies, processes and procedures
 * Install, maintain and support new applications and services
What experience do you need?
 * Previous experience in a similar role - Systems Administrator, IT Engineer, Systems Engineer etc.
 * COMMS Room experience
 * IT Hardware including laptop builds
 * Microsoft (Office) 365 Administration
 * High availability technologies including UPS and RAID
 * SQL knowledge an advantage (training will be provided)
 * IT qualifications desirable (MCP, ITIL, MCSA, CompTIA A+ N+ MTA)
