Accounting Position Available
This is a maternity leave contract position.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to handle various accounting tasks including payroll, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* To ensure accurate and timely completion of payroll and bookkeeping assignments
* Assist audit staff on assignments to trial balance stage / review stage
* Process payroll records for clients on a weekly, fortnightly, monthly and yearly basis
* Prepare and reconcile payroll returns as required
* Prepare VAT returns and associated bookkeeping as required from books and records provided by clients
* Prepare and reconcile RCT and subcontractor control accounts
* Report RCT/subcontractors and contracts as required on ROS
* Complete off-site bookkeeping for clients (reporting to Partner where appropriate)
* Prepare sole trader accounts to review stage
* Liaise with clients to ensure books and records are provided by clients on a timely basis
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
* Relevant accounts preparation experience
* Practice experience is advantageous
* Strong excel skills and proficiency in accounts production software
