We are seeking a highly skilled B7 physiotherapist to join the existing MSK Physiotherapy team within the outpatient service in North Aberdeenshire. This post will be based in Fraserburgh, predominantly within the GP First Contact Physiotherapy service, but will include an MSK caseload within the outpatient physiotherapy department in Fraserburgh Hospital. The post would be static based in Fraserburgh, however the post holder would have to demonstrate flexibility in being able to support other MSK physiotherapy bases in Aberdeenshire as service need required.
You will be supported by a team of B7 peers and B8a advanced practice physiotherapists. The Aberdeenshire MSK Physio team is a dynamic, close‑knit and inclusive group, who work closely to provide high quality MSK services across Aberdeenshire. As part of NHS Grampian, we work closely with our colleagues within the region to ensure that strategies are developed over a wider geographical area.
The FCP/ MSK physiotherapy service has an active in‑service training programme with regular supervision sessions to enable you to develop your skills in a safe and supportive environment, and will include opportunities to supervise both rotational staff and students. We have a robust system for documentation audit, supervision, mentoring and peer review within all sites.
As a First Contact Physiotherapist, the post holder will work closely with GP practice teams and will be responsible for, and manage, their own caseload which may include the request and analysis of diagnostic tests/ imaging and require discussion with or onward referral to secondary care. As such there is a requirement for the post holders to be able to demonstrate advanced post‑graduate training and be willing to undertake additional training as required. This may include injection therapy and non‑medical prescribing.

Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration
Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level
Post graduate expertise within the MSK speciality that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead your practice as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist safety, effectively and efficiently. We would expect at least 2-3 years of working at B6 level within an MSK setting.
Comprehensive knowledge of MSK clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality.
Applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car for work purposes.
