Duty Engineer
to join their team.

*Key Responsibilities For This Position Include:*
* Ensure immediate provision of services necessary to guests and other operating departments.
* Coordinates daily with Housekeeping and Front Office for the readiness of the guest rooms.
* Reports immediately to your manager all defects and deficiencies noticed during inspection and commence the immediate rectification without delay.
* Ensures that there is no backlog in repair and maintenance activities scheduled within the day
* Attend to and execute all the complaints/calls and job requests from other departments pertaining to his area of concern.
* Assist with planning maintenance and refurbishment works in a manner which will maximise room occupancy.
* Assist with providing competent hands-on skills to ensure that all systems including (but not limited to), electrical, sewage, plumbing, heating and lighting are maintained in good working order and ensure that any defects are corrected promptly and properly.
* Be environmentally aware and monitor energy consumption and usage and develop energy awareness culture within the property.
* Have an understanding of switching and control arrangements of plant and ensure that it is kept in an operational condition.
* Be aware of and assist with implementation of all Company, Statutory and Legal requirements including Fire, Health and Safety, Hygiene, Electricity at Work and all local bye-laws.
* Assist with ensuring that all statutory safety testing is carried out and recorded.
* Assist with monitoring Health & Safety working practices for the whole property.
* Assist with effectively managing all service contracts including mechanical and electrical services, fire protection, lifts, building repairs, energy supplies and grounds maintenance.
*Ideal Candidate Will Possess:*
* At least 3 years experience in a 4*/5* environment similar to the Intercontinental Hotel.
* Excellent communication skills
* Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
* A good attitude, attention to detail and excellent work ethic.
