About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Civil) to lead our team in delivering projects across various vertical markets, with a current primary focus on the water industry.

* The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering projects from initiation to completion, working closely with delivery teams to track, manage, report, and deliver all projects.
* This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ranging in value, timescale, and complexity.
* The appointed Project Manager will oversee the portfolio of project deliveries and work collaboratively with other PMs and Automation Managers, Engineers, and Electricians to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To execute the project management process, reporting, and review framework to provide a holistic view of all organisational project activity.
2. To be customer-focused and deliver projects as per agreed milestones.
3. To drive the delivery of projects through active leadership and involvement in specific initiatives to meet time, cost, and quality requirements.
4. To be an integral part of the team of project management professionals and ensure compliance to standards, policies, and processes.
5. To guide and plan a high-performing, collaborative delivery team in cooperation with technical managers.
6. To monitor performance across projects within the portfolio to enable tracking of strategy execution and provide updates to senior management.
7. To demonstrate strong communication skills, coordinate project stakeholders effectively, and act as a support representative in key governance and decision meetings.
8. To manage interdependencies and coordination across projects to ensure that information relating to project deliverables, risks, and issues is effectively communicated between stakeholders and key performance indicators are monitored and evaluated.
9. To ensure each project in their portfolio is delivered to expected timelines and within approved budgets.
10. To contribute to Project Closure activity, particularly Lessons Learned & Re-use.
11. To review project status and outlook regularly throughout the Project Lifecycle and provide advice, support, and guidance to the PM team.
Requirements:
* Associated Civil Engineering Degree and equivalent work experience.
* Experience in delivering automation, telemetry, and radio communication projects in water/wastewater environments is highly desirable.
* Ability to provide clarity of direction while balancing resources, costs, scope, risk, and timescales.
* Significant business experience using various project and program management methodologies in a variety of environments.
* Proven ability to lead dispersed teams and demonstrate team-building skills.
* Focused on delivery and finding ways to move projects forward.
* Strong communicator and influencer at every level – able to bring all stakeholders with them.
* Ability to stand up for best practice.
* Demonstrate a professional and positive approach to work.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Ethical approach to safety, quality, environmental protection, and business practices.
* Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
