In this role, you will lead a dynamic team focused on delivering innovative technology solutions that align with regulatory requirements. Accountabilities
* Lead a development team of 4-6 Scala developers, building ETL solutions for regulatory data requirements.
* Work with analysts and QA to define technology solutions based on business and regulatory requirements.
* Communicate development issues and priorities to business stakeholders.
* Manage team performance, providing support to meet both team and individual objectives.
* Coordinate with infrastructure teams to define hardware and system requirements.
* Assist with Level 3 Production Support and ongoing application maintenance.
* Ensure applications comply with relevant regulatory and audit standards.
* Proactively manage and resolve issues from discovery to resolution.
Requirements
* 2+ years experience leading a Java or Scala development team.
* 8+ years Java experience or 3+ years Scala experience.
* 3+ years experience with MongoDB or another NoSQL database.
* Experience with ETL systems, REST APIs, and JSON.
* Proactive with excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
* Experience in financial services and capital markets preferred.
* Familiarity with project management tools like Jira/Confluence.
* Some experience with cloud technologies preferred.
