INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE:
The Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing the hotel’s commercial strategy to drive revenue, elevate brand presence, and strengthen Brooks Hotel’s position as one of Dublin’s leading boutique hotels. This leader will work with our cluster supports to oversee all sales activities, digital marketing, brand communications, partnerships, and revenue-generating initiatives while ensuring alignment with the MHL Hotel Collection brand standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement annual sales plans to achieve room, F&B, event, and ancillary revenue targets.
Proactively source, secure, and manage key accounts across corporate, leisure, MICE, and luxury travel markets.
Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, site inspections, and participation in industry events or trade shows.
Collaborate closely with the Revenue Manager on pricing, forecasting, distribution strategy, and market analysis.
Lead the creation of bespoke packages, seasonal offers, and market-specific promotions that align with business needs.
Marketing & Brand Management
Oversee all marketing activities including digital campaigns, content creation, website updates, and brand messaging.
Manage social media strategy, ensuring consistent, high-quality content that reflects the hotel’s boutique identity.
Coordinate photography, videography, creative assets, and visual branding across the hotel.
Develop and manage the hotel’s annual marketing budget.
Public Relations & Communications
Build strong relationships with media, influencers, tourism boards, and brand partners.
Oversee PR initiatives including press releases, media stays, and storytelling opportunities.
Ensure all communications reinforce the hotel’s premium, design-led positioning.
Guest Experience & Product Development
Work cross-departmentally to ensure guest feedback informs product improvements and service enhancements.
Support the development of new guest experiences, F&B concepts, and in-house events (e.g., cinema screenings, seasonal menus, strategic partnerships with neighbouring businesses).
Maintain competitor intelligence and analyse market trends to keep the hotel ahead of industry developments.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a hotel or hospitality sales/marketing role, ideally within a luxury or boutique environment.
Proven track record in achieving revenue targets and growing market share.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Creative, commercially minded, and highly organised with strategic thinking capabilities.
Ability to build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Experience within the Dublin market or Irish hospitality sector is a strong advantage.
