Role and Responsibilities:
Maintain an effective Reservations & Revenue Department through the provision of strong leadership, direction and oversight to employees and the implementation of a departmental training and professional development plan.
Work closely with the General Manager and Sales team.
Implement and execute strategic action plans to drive hotel revenue performance in conjunction with the senior management team.
Consistently review hotels daily pricing/pace of demand across all market segments.
Produce a detailed day by day monthly rooms forecast by market segment within a tolerance level of 3-5% accuracy on a weekly basis.
Ensure best practices in revenue management are in place and the maximum revenue is achieved on any given day.
Deliver weekly, monthly and annual reports, or any ad hoc reports, subject to management guidelines.
Managing the effective operations of our Reservations department, ensuring that all guests receive exceptional customer service in a very genuine and caring manner.
Oversee the effective operations of our Revenue department, ensuring that all guests receive exceptional customer service in a very genuine and caring manner.
To deal with any customer queries in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
Maintain an effective Reservations team through the provision of strong leadership, direction and oversight to employees and the implementation of a departmental training and professional development plan.
To ensure that all complaints are handled in a professional and efficient manner & all complaints are followed up and resolved.
To attend regular management meetings and hold regular staff meetings.
To assist in the induction, training and development of staff in the hotel.
To ensure company rules, policies and procedures are adhered to.
To ensure the adequate timekeeping and attendance of staff members.
About the role
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role in a 4-star hotel or resort environment.
Experience working with OTAs, GDS and direct booking channels.
Proven track record in managing room inventory and optimizing occupancy and revenue.
Understanding of pricing strategies, rate parity, and online distribution.
Awareness of competitor set and market positioning.
Knowledge of industry trends and revenue optimization techniques.
Familiarity with GDPR compliance and data confidentiality.
