Job Opportunity: Site Manager (6-Month FTC) Location: Private Hospital Project Former B&Q Site (near The Range) Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (6 Months) Temp also considered Salary: £45,000 £50,000 per annum (Pro Rata) Hours: Full-time, 42.5 hours per week The Project: We are currently working on the construction of a new private hospital in Portadown.
This role focusses specifically on delivering the shell construction phase, so relevant experience in shell builds is essential.
The Role: As Site Manager, you will report directly to the Contracts Manager and will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations.
Youll manage site teams, subcontractors, and ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget, to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and manage the project effectively in line with drawings, specs, and H&S regulations.
Maintain a high standard of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Supervise all on-site activity including subcontractors and direct labour.
Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and monitor use of PPE and safe working practices.
Oversee quality control, cleanliness, materials, and plant/tools storage.
Maintain strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction throughout the build.
Identify risks, opportunities, and provide timely reporting to the Contracts Manager.
Ensure snag-free handover and defect management upon project completion.
Champion continuous improvement and best practice on site.
Experience & Qualifications: Degree/HND in Construction or minimum 5 years experience in Site Management roles.
Proven track record delivering construction projects of £3 M+.
Strong understanding of Building Regs, CDM, and current H&S legislation.
Valid CSR/CSCS card (Management level preferred).
First Aid qualification (desirable).
Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Flexibility to travel/work at locations throughout the UK/Ireland as needed.
