Overview

We’re looking for an Associate Capture Technical Artist to join our creative marketing team in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity for people who love games and how they’re made. If you enjoy capturing precise playthroughs, highlighting features, and are drawn to cinematic storytelling or the cameras used in virtual production, this role offers a chance to grow your skills in capture, tools and in‑engine workflows.

Key Responsibilities

* Contribute to the development and upkeep of in‑engine capture tools, virtual capture facilities and workflows. Support innovation through R&D – feedback, documentation, and iterative testing.
* Capture gameplay using in‑engine tools, cameras, and cinematic systems – navigating game builds with precision, choreographing moments, and framing cinematic shots that showcase mechanics and story at their best.
* Collaborate with directors, editors, and brand teams to deliver content for trailers, social campaigns or other marketing outputs. Be comfortable taking feedback, re‑tooling or re‑shooting as required.
* Record cinematic content using real‑time virtual production cameras in our custom‑built studios using Unreal Engine (Sequencer, Movie Render Queue) or Unity (Cinemachine), with a focus on cinematic composition, timing, and visual clarity.

Skills & Qualifications

* Demonstrate the ability to capture great gameplay – highlighting specific features or mechanics with rehearsed play‑thoughts and smooth camera movements.
* Solid understanding of cinematic techniques: composition, lighting, movement, and shot pacing.
* Knowledge of game engine cameras and animation timelines (Unreal Engine Sequencer or Unity Animation Timeline), C++ or Blueprints and familiarity with source control systems (Perforce, Git).
* Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset. Interest in combining technical development with creative capture and virtual production.

Bonus Experience

* Understanding of 3D animation, its pipelines and the managing mocap data.
* Development of in‑engine camera tools, replay and recording systems.
* Adobe Premiere and Photoshop skills are a plus.

If you're excited to help shape how games are presented to the world and want to work at the intersection of game development and cinematic storytelling, we’d love to hear from you!

Life at 2K – what’s in it for you!

* Wellbeing Program: Earn points and turn them into cash/gift cards!
* Private Medical Insurance
* Private Dental Insurance
