Job Description
AtkinsRéalis, one of the world’s leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland, is seeking a Site Engineer for the Eastern section of the country. The ideal candidate will have experience in roads and civils infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities:
1. Assisting the Region East Project Manager in managing Motorway Operation and Maintenance Contracts, as well as monitoring and inspecting construction activities.
2. Supervising construction projects to ensure execution aligns with work specifications.
3. Attending meetings with clients and stakeholders.
4. Monitoring and reporting on contractor progress.
5. Reviewing documentation related to works.
6. Identifying defects in motorway assets and escalating issues for remediation.
7. Developing works packages.
Skills/attributes:
* Full driving licence.
* Experience in highway infrastructure projects & Level 8 qualification recognized by QQI or other equivalent engineering qualification.
* Site experience on highways schemes is desirable.
* Experience in CAD is an advantage.
* Experience in traffic management is desirable.
* Supervising construction of roadworks including pavement, drainage, ducting, signage, lighting, safety barriers, bridgeworks, etc., is desirable.
* Ability to liaise with multidisciplinary design teams, plan, and control technical resources to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
* Ability to work within set timeframes and foster a positive working environment.
* Collaborative work ethic with colleagues and partners to ensure successful project delivery.
* Awareness of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices.
* Effective communication skills (written, verbal, presentations).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and understanding of MS Project.
* Willingness to develop and maintain client relationships.
