Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Drafter to join our team. As a key member of our Structures Technical Office, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of major renewal and maintenance projects across the country.
In this exciting opportunity, you will be responsible for preparing, modifying, and reviewing structural drawings for railway bridges, stations, tunnels, and civil engineering structures using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software. Your expertise will ensure that all drawings meet the required standards and specifications.
You will also be responsible for delivering assigned works within authorised budget, time, quality, and scope by:
* Interpreting existing structural drawings, surveys, and inspection reports to support refurbishment, strengthening, and maintenance projects.
* Developing detailed reinforcement, steelwork, and connection designs for railway structures.
* Ensuring compliance with railway industry standards, Eurocodes, and BS codes.
* Maintaining and organising CAD files, engineering records, and project documentation
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
1. 3 +years of experience in structural drafting or engineering support.
2. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D).
3. Basic knowledge of structural engineering principles and construction methods.
4. Prior experience in a railway infrastructure firm or construction-related projects.
