Job Title: Master 500 - MRE Vessels
The role of a Master on our windfarm support vessels is to be responsible for the operation and safety of the vessel, its machinery, equipment, and crew. The Master will manage the vessel, implement safety policies, issue orders, and review safety activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management of the vessel, its machinery, and associated equipment
* Implementing safety policies and motivating the crew in their execution
* Reporting defects and other matters affecting safe operations or pollution risk
* Appraising and coordinating on-board training requirements
* Ensuring the Safety Management System (SMS) is kept current
* Care of all electronic navigational aids and communications equipment
* Review of on-board contingency plans and ship procedures
* Overall safety and fire-fighting organisation
Requirements:
* STCW Master 500 CoC or UK FSE or above
* Desirable minimum 2 years-experience in a similar role
* All relevant STCW certificates and Medical
* Confident interpersonal communication skills
* Strong organisation skills and problem-solving abilities
