We are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse Manager to lead and optimise all warehouse operations, driving efficiency, continuous improvement, and best-in-class processes across our expanding business.
Requirements Role Overview The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing all warehouse operations — including material receipt, storage, handling, dispatch, and documentation — to ensure smooth production flow and on-time project deliveries.
In the switchgear industry, this role requires strong coordination with procurement, production, and logistics teams to handle electrical components, fabricated enclosures, busbars, and accessories with precision and safety.
Core Responsibilities: Inbound Operations · Plan and manage the receiving of materials, including components, sheet metal parts, copper, cables, fasteners, and consumables.
· Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders (PO) and material inspection reports (MIR).
· Ensure all goods receipts are entered accurately in ERP (e.g., SAP MM/WM).
· Coordinate with Quality Control for inspection, tagging, and release of accepted materials.
· Manage return-to-supplier (RTS) processes for rejected or excess materials.
Storage Inventory Management · Design and maintain efficient warehouse layouts, ensuring segregation by material type, safety class, and usage frequency.
· Maintain accurate bin allocations, rack labelling, and stock traceability (batch/serial control).
· Implement and monitor FIFO/FEFO practices to ensure material rotation and prevent obsolescence.
· Conduct cycle counts and periodic physical stock audits; reconcile variances with ERP records.
· Ensure sensitive materials (e.g., relays, breakers, copper) are stored in appropriate environmental conditions.
· Coordinate with ICT for barcode/RFID implementation and system integration.
Material Issuance Production Support · Fulfil material requests from the shop floor or assembly teams per production schedules and BOM requirements.
· Implement a kanban or pick-list-based issue system for efficient line feeding.
· Track and record work order issues and return of unused materials in ERP/SAP.
· Maintain a reservation system for project-specific materials to avoid shortages.
· Liaise with Planning and Production teams to align material availability with project timelines.
Outbound Dispatch Operations · Oversee finished goods handling, packaging, and loading for dispatch to project sites or customers.
· Coordinate with logistics partners to schedule transport and ensure proper documentation (DC, invoice, packing list).
· Maintain compliance with transport safety and statutory regulations.
· Ensure dispatch accuracy and timely delivery performance.
Warehouse Process Compliance · Develop and enforce SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all warehouse functions.
· Ensure EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) compliance — especially for heavy lifting, electrical equipment, and sheet metal handling.
· Train warehouse personnel in safe material handling, use of forklifts, pallet trucks, and PPE.
· Maintain 5S and lean warehouse practices to improve space utilization and efficiency.
· Work closely with Finance and Internal Audit for inventory valuation and reporting compliance.
Systems Reporting · Use ERP/SAP modules for all material movements, stock reports, and postings.
· Monitor daily inward, outward, and stock movement dashboards.
· Generate KPI reports on: · Inventory accuracy · Picking dispatch efficiency · Material availability rate · Space utilization · Safety incidents / near misses · Coordinate with Business Intelligence (BI) teams to feed real-time data for dashboards and analytics.
Educational Experience Requirements · Diploma /Degree in Supply Chain · 10+ years in warehouse/inventory management, with at least 5years in a supervisory role.
· Experience in switchgear, electrical panel manufacturing, or heavy fabrication industry is desirable Preferred: · Certification in Lean Warehouse Management, 5S, or Safety.
· Exposure to SAP implementation or WMS automation projects.
