We seek a highly-motivated Speech & Language Therapist to join our team in Bray, Wicklow.
About the Role
To work as a senior member of the interdisciplinary team providing services to children aged 0-18 years and families within the region.
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a speech & language therapy service to include assessment diagnostics and intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service delivery to children with a range of disabilities.
The post holder will be required to work across a variety of settings including clinics, schools, preschools and special schools, children's homes and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a speech & language therapy service to children with a range of disabilities.
* Work across various settings including clinics, schools, and community settings.
* Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders.
* Develop and implement individualised treatment plans.
* Provide clinical supervision and training to junior staff members.
Requirements
* Be registered as a Speech & Language Therapist by CORU.
* Have 3 years' full-time post qualification clinical experience.
* Have the requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
* Annual registration is required on the Speech & Language Therapists Register maintained by CORU before employment.
* Be eligible to work in the State.
* Hold a full clean driving licence and access to own transport.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience of interdisciplinary team working.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children with disabilities.
* Experience working with children with Eating, Drinking and Swallowing difficulties.
* Experience working with Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC).
