Service Coordinator Role

We are seeking a Service Coordinator to join our team in Castlebar, County Mayo. As a member of our progressive team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and supervising a staff team to support individuals in living their lives to the fullest. You will possess strong leadership qualities, ensuring the development of a SRV approach to service provision, including providing training and development opportunities for coordinators.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading innovation and change initiatives
* Demonstrating leadership and working effectively in a dynamic environment
* Providing support and feedback to staff in a valued and respectful manner
* Presenting concepts and information relevant to SRV-informed and autism-informed approaches
* Being creative and solution-focused
Candidate Requirements:
* Knowledge of HIQA requirements essential
* Proven experience working with individuals on the Autistic spectrum desirable
* Resilience in working in the community
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work independently
* Creative problem-solving skills
* Highly motivated
Successful candidates will have experience facilitating and supporting individuals with high and complex needs, a genuine understanding of working alongside people to effect positive opportunities and change, excellent communication skills, and a clear understanding of teamwork.
Qualification Details:
* Minimum level 7 degree qualification in Social Care or equivalent
* Eligible for CORU registration
* Minimum 3 years managerial or supervisory experience in the social care sector
* Management qualification
Other duties involved:
* Contribute to local service planning process
* Develop and implement changing needs of the service
* Provide personal care and support to service users where required
* Ensure a safe place of work
* Promote safety in all environments
* Use positive approaches to support children with challenging behavior
Requirements:
* Full driver's license and access to a car
* Irish Garda Vetting and Reference checks
* Overseas Police Clearance if applicable
Benefits: Salary Scale - Social Care Leader Pay Scale (€50,670 - €59,546 per annum)
