Staff Nurse (RNID/RCN/RGN)
Location: Children’s Respite, Lavanagh House, Curraheen, Cork.
Contract type: Permanent.
Contract hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week.
Salary Scale: Staff Nurse €37,060–€54,111 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments).
Enhanced Nurse €43,206–€56,956 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments).
Annual Leave Entitlement: 33/34/36 days pro rata (depending on experience).
Overview of the Post
Join a dedicated, innovative team in a 3-bed community‑based house providing respite and holiday breaks for children with disabilities, operating within a quality framework. Provide nursing care to meet the assessed needs of children, young people and their families.

Essential Criteria for Staff Nurse
Registered in the Intellectual Disability/Children’s Nurse/General Nurse Division of the live Register of Nurses kept by An Bord Altranais (NMBI).
Demonstrated high standard of clinical and administrative capacity.
Maintain live annual registration on the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives (NMBI).
Eligible to work in Ireland.
Desirable Criteria
Experience working with children with physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, ASD, or behaviours of concern.
Enhanced Nurse Essential Criteria
Valid nursing qualification for the Republic of Ireland.
Registered as a Nurse/Midwife on the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the NMBI.
One year 16 weeks relevant nursing work experience after graduation.
Maintain registration with the NMBI throughout employment and provide evidence annually.
Clinical and administrative competence to discharge the role’s functions.
Documented competencies, including care for service user/owner case load.
Evidence of skill acquisition from on‑the‑job learning.
Certified skills training, including minimum mandatory training relevant to care provision.
Evidence of participation in audit and evaluation of care provision and collection of quality care metrics.
Full clean manual driving licence.
