Technical Project Manager / Product Owner
Senior Digital & Omnichannel Technology Lead
Location: Dublin City Centre (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager / Product Owner to take ownership of our omnichannel and application ecosystem across a multi-brand retail group. This is a product-led role requiring a blend of project management expertise, technical understanding, and commercial awareness.
The successful candidate will lead the delivery and evolution of critical customer and operational platforms, ensuring seamless integration across systems while driving the digital roadmap and managing key technology partners.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Delivery

Own and manage the digital product roadmap, backlog, and prioritisation.
Lead the delivery of strategic digital initiatives across multiple brands and channels.
Drive continuous improvement of omnichannel customer experiences.
Ensure the successful execution of projects from requirements gathering through to delivery and post-launch optimisation.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to deliver measurable outcomes.

Take ownership of the organisation's core technology ecosystem, including:

Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC)
Salesforce Service Cloud
Loyalty and clienteling platforms
ERP systems
Customer and digital engagement applications

Systems Integration & Data Management

Lead and coordinate complex integrations across ERP, payment, logistics, commerce, and customer platforms.
Develop a strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, data flows, ETL processes, XML, and database structures.
Identify and address challenges associated with system interoperability and data consistency.
Work closely with development teams and solution architects to ensure scalable and reliable integrations.
Support data mapping, transformation, and information exchange across multiple applications.
Understand and proactively manage the complexities associated with interconnected systems and data dependencies.
Manage relationships with third-party vendors, system integrators, and technology partners.
Challenge vendors where appropriate to ensure quality, delivery, and value.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Salesforce partners, ERP providers, POS vendors, e-commerce agencies, and software development teams.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, Product Owner, Digital Technology Lead, or in a similar role.
Strong track record of owning product roadmaps, backlogs, and end-to-end delivery.
Experience working within Agile and product-led environments.
Strong experience delivering and supporting omnichannel and digital platforms.
Experience within retail, e-commerce, or multi-channel environments.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) is essential.
Exposure to Salesforce Service Cloud is highly desirable.

Systems Integration & Technical Competence
Strong understanding of:

APIs and web services
Systems integrations
Data flows and data mapping
ETL tools and processes
XML and database concepts
ERP and POS integrations

Additional requirements

Experience working on complex integration programmes involving multiple internal and third-party systems.
Ability to understand and troubleshoot challenges associated with interconnected applications and data exchange.
Experience managing technical dependencies across customer, commerce, operational, and financial systems.

Software Development Understanding

A solid understanding of software development lifecycles and modern application architecture.
Previous coding experience or hands-on software development exposure would be highly advantageous.
Significant experience managing third-party vendors, system integrators, and external development teams.
Experience working with Salesforce partners, ERP vendors, POS providers, and e-commerce agencies.
Strong commercial awareness with the confidence to challenge vendors and drive accountability.

Nice to Have

Retail and omnichannel industry experience.
Exposure to clienteling and CRM platforms (e.g. Proximity or similar).
Knowledge of payment and logistics platforms.
Experience with databases, middleware technologies, and XML.
Understanding of cloud-based architectures and data transformation processes.
