EHS Engineer Job Overview
Our client is seeking an EHS Engineer to join their state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility in Sligo, Ireland.
This key role will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of Environmental Health and Safety are maintained throughout the plant. The successful candidate will foster a positive culture of continuous improvement while ensuring site compliance with statutory Employment and EHS related legislation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of occupational health and safety management systems and a proven track record of implementing effective contractor management systems. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders including employees, contractors, and managers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS legislation and develop systems and procedures that optimize safety, health, and environmental performance of the Site.
* Implement effective contractor management systems and maintain Contractor Safety Performance KPIs.
Requirements:
* BSc in Occupational Safety & Health Level 8 or equivalent degree.
* 2-3 years of relevant experience.
* Internal Occupational Health and Safety Management System Auditor certification.
* Maintain ISO and ISO Certification.
* Liaise with Managers to ensure employees are trained to a defined competency standard with all applicable EHS policies and procedures.
