About the Finance Officer: As Finance Officer, youll play a key part in the day-to-day operation of the finance function, supporting a wide range of responsibilities from financial reporting and compliance to ledger management and audit support Key Responsibilities of the Finance Officer: Assist with the preparation and management of RCT and VAT on capital projects Support the management of the creditors ledger, ensuring accurate cost allocation and preparation of journals for review and posting Assist in managing the debtors ledger including input of income (rental and fundraising) Prepare VAT, RCT and charity claims returns for review by senior finance team members Reconcile petty cash and Soldo cashcard transactions across services monthly Ensure internal financial controls are followed in line with purchasing and expenditure authorisation policies Prepare income and expenditure returns for funding agencies and internal reporting Provide bi-weekly financial updates and reporting to the Head of Finance Support annual audit preparation and coordination Carry out other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the finance department The Ideal Finance Officer: Part-qualified accountant or Accounting Technician Relevant business/accounting qualification is an advantage Strong working knowledge of Excel and accounting software A keen eye for detail and a commitment to financial controls Excellent communication and collaboration skills Experience working in a finance team environment Experience in the not-for-profit or charitable sector (desirable) Familiarity with funding applications and state agency reporting is an advantage For more information, please apply through the link provided for the attention of Fiach OByrne or call Osborne Recruitment on If you are interested in finding out more about the above role and would like to be considered for this or other suitable roles that we may have available for your skill set please attach your CV via the link provided.
