Role Overview
The
Quality Assurance Engineer
is responsible for ensuring that all construction works meet Glent's quality standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
You will oversee and implement quality control processes, monitor site activities, and drive continuous improvement across all project phases.
This role requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail, strong documentation skills, and a solid understanding of construction methodologies and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement and maintain project-specific Quality Assurance Plans, ITPs & Benchmarks.
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and testing to verify compliance with technical specifications and standards.
* Monitor and document non-conformances, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
* Collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues promptly.
* Review and approve materials, methods, and workmanship in line with project requirements.
* Maintain accurate QA documentation, inspection records, and test reports.
* Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and Glent's internal quality systems.
* Promote a strong quality culture on-site and provide QA-related training or guidance where required.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Glent projects.
Requirements
* Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
* 2–5 years' experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within the construction industry.
* Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, inspection methodologies, and ISO 9001 standards.
* Experience with infrastructure or civil construction projects preferred.
* Strong communication and reporting skills in English (German is an advantage).
* Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and proactive attitude.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
