Minimum qualifications
 * Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
 * J.D., CIPP/US, or other privacy or compliance certification.
 * 7 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
Preferred qualifications
 * Experience organizing data and applying business context to improve processes or operations.
 * Experience supporting organizations under regulatory settlements or consent decrees (e.g., FTC, SEC, CFPB).
 * Familiarity with compliance regulations such as GDPR, SOX, ISO, FedRAMP, etc.

The Google Compliance team makes sure that our business is always consistent with the current financial regulations. Comprised of multitaskers, this team balances Google's legal and compliance requirements with the dynamic needs of our users and the values of our company. As part of this team, you proactively identify pain points and gaps in existing policy frameworks and find innovative solutions. You develop efficient compliance systems and work with teams to implement these across the organization. You are thorough in all you do and see to it that as Google pursues our next big idea, we always have our bases covered. The newly formed Risk, Compliance and Integrity organization (RCI) brings together critical compliance, assurance, risk and governance functions across Google to help the company meet compliance needs and enable our businesses to innovate. Our goal is to make compliance an engaging advantage for Google by driving scaled, data-driven, and policy-based compliance programs. We manage our operations through risk‑based prioritization and governance and consistent and constructive regulator engagement.
Responsibilities
 * Monitor, oversee and manage compliance with Google’s obligations, including internal and external audits, documentation and reporting, and risk mitigation/management activities.
 * Oversee periodic testing and program evaluations, ensuring consistency with Google’s obligations.
 * Collaborate with Privacy, Safety and Security (PSS) and cross‑functional teams to ensure that new product launches and updates undergo appropriate privacy reviews and documentation.
 * Oversee the documentation and testing of controls, training, governance and internal escalation protocols related to Google’s compliance commitments.
 * Serve as the primary point of contact for ensuring program assessment requirements consistently align with Google’s compliance commitments.
