Senior Fund Accountant 18-Month FTC | Dublin 1 | Hybrid A leading financial services organisation in Dublin 1 is seeking an experienced Senior Fund Accountant to join its Finance team on an 18-month fixed-term contract.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to work in a dynamic and high-profile environment, supporting the finance operations of large-scale investment and sovereign-style funds.
Youll gain hands-on exposure to a broad range of investment structures, financial instruments, and fund operations, while playing a key role in enhancing finance processes, controls, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities Administer loans, including reviewing facility agreements, and calculating interest, fees, and repayments.
Review partnership agreements, interpret reporting requirements, and understand partnership structures.
Process and review capital calls, distributions, and investment allocations.
Prepare and review accounting journals, reconciliations, and ensure accurate investment records.
Support year-end valuations, financial reporting, and audit processes.
Liaise with internal teams, fund managers, investees, auditors, and tax advisors.
Review management and custodian fees and ensure adherence to internal controls.
Mentor junior accountants and contribute to workflow and systems improvements.
Experience & Qualifications Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience desirable.
Third-level qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
Minimum 4 years experience in fund accounting, ideally with exposure to private market products.
Strong understanding of investment accounting, including unquoted investments and loans.
Experience using portfolio management systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of general ledger systems (e.g., Infor Sun Systems) an advantage.
