As part of a global financial services network, the firm provides access to major markets and liquidity venues, supporting clients with high-touch service and deep regulatory expertise.ResponsibilitiesJob purposeThe AML and Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring the firm's compliance with applicable Irish and EU regulations, including AML/CFT obligations under the Criminal Justice Act and PSD2 where applicable. This role will lead the local AML and Compliance function, monitoring regulatory developments and advising the business on AML and Compliance matters. The individual will also act as the designated MLRO and primary liaison with the Central Bank of Ireland and other competent authorities.Candidates looking to step up and hold their first PCF designation (or are in deputy roles seeking progression) are encouraged to apply. General DutiesMonitoring key regulatory developments/horizon scanning and ensuring timely updates to internal policiesOffering advice, training and guidance on AML and Compliance as requiredProviding Board-level reporting on AML and Compliance matters.Implementation of new regulations and other projectsAnalysis and interpretation of relevant laws and regulations, including identifying changes to these that could affect the business Implementation of suitable AML and Compliance controls to new business initiatives and new productsContinually monitoring and enhancing existing compliance controlsPerforming "deep dive" ad hoc monitoring tasks as outlined within the Firm's Financial Crime Prevention Risk Management Framework and Compliance Monitoring Programme ("CMP")Reviewing and approving financial promotions, where applicableProviding training to the business on compliance policies and legal obligations, as requiredInvestigating and resolution of ad hoc queries from regulators, exchanges and other areas of the businessFiling suspicious activity reports to the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau Financial Intelligence Unit ("FIU"), Irish Tax and Customs Revenue Commissioners and other competent authorities or law enforcement agencies as may be requiredMaking reports required by applicable sanctions laws and regulations to appropriate competent authorities, such as the Central Bank of Ireland; or organise the delegation of this to an appropriately qualified personQualificationsKnowledge and Experience:At least five years' relevant experienceStrong understanding of Financial Crime Prevention requirements in crypto-assets and other virtual currenciesStrong knowledge of applicable regulations e.g. Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing), Act, PSD2, MiCAR, MiFID II, FATF Travel Rule, etc Qualification:Fluency in business EnglishUniversity degree/Professional Compliance QualificationOther European languages would be an advantageSkillsEffective planning, organisation and time management skillsAbility to work accurately, thoroughly, reliably and with strong attention to detailStrong communication and good relationship building skills (written and oral)Experience liaising with regulators and law enforcement agencies.Commercial awarenessTeam playerAnalytical mindset with the ability to deliver practical solutionsAbility to work independently and prioritise multiple tasksComputer competency, including Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel#LI-Hybrid #LI-AS1
