Overview
Our client, a fast-growing and innovative technology company in the energy and sustainability sector, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
This role will work closely with the CFO & report to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will join a team of 5 in an exciting global role.
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a strategic finance role within a global business that is undergoing a period of sustained growth.
Ideally this would suit someone with 2 plus years Industry experience who is strong on Financial Reporting & Management Accounting.
Excellent Flexibility with this role (1/2 days a week in the office).
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts
* Preparation of monthly financial reporting and analysis.
* Balance Sheet/P&L reconciliation
* Maintaining and updating accruals and prepayments.
* Supervision of the AP and AR process.
* Group fixed asset book maintenance
* Group cash flow forecasting
* Support the Head of Finance in building models and preparing the robust annual budget process
* Preparation of annual financial statements
* Assisting with group year-end audit requirements
* Supporting the Finance team on financial and market analyses & ad-hoc duties.
Key Capabilities Required:
* Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CFA or other comparable financial qualification).
* 2+ years PQE in a similar role
* Financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and presentation preparation experience.
* Excellent PowerPoint and strong Excel modelling skills required.
* Self-starter, problem solver, willingness to work cross functionally.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
