Audio Video Design Engineer II
We are seeking a self-driven, skilled, and detail-oriented Audio Video Design Engineer to join Astreya Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting audio-visual systems for various applications such as corporate environments, entertainment venues, educational institutions, and residential projects.
Job Description
This role involves collaborating with clients, project managers, and installation teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality AV solutions that meet specific requirements, standards, and project commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
* System Design:
1. Design AV systems, create CAD drawings, specify equipment, read architectural drawings, draft equipment lists, and create bill of materials.
2. Consider factors such as room acoustics, lighting, and layout when designing AV systems.
* Client Consultation:
1. Conduct site surveys to understand client needs and preferences.
2. Collaborate with clients to provide technical guidance and communicate effectively.
* Project Coordination:
1. Develop project timelines and coordinate installation.
2. Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure high-quality results.
* Documentation and Support:
1. Maintain accurate project documentation.
2. Provide training and offer technical support to ensure successful system implementation.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, audio engineering, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience in designing and implementing AV systems.
* Proficiency with CAD software and AV design tools.
* In-depth knowledge of industry standards such as AVIXA, Dante, Crestron, Extron.
* Strong understanding of AV signal flow, networking, and control programming.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* AVIXA CTS-I or CTS-D certification.
* Experience with AV over IP, DSP programming, and video wall design.
* Knowledge of audio acoustics and room calibration.
* Hands-on experience with AV equipment.
Working Conditions
* Remote work with occasional on-site visits required.
* Ability to lift and move AV equipment as needed.
* Travel for project meetings and site surveys as required.
