Maintenance Engineer
We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a small, dedicated team at a modern bakery production site. You'll work closely with a long-serving Electrical Maintenance Engineer and take responsibility for keeping our automated production line running smoothly.
The Role:
This is a hands-on position focused on maintaining and repairing equipment such as high-speed mixers, industrial ovens, icing/decorating machines, conveyors, and packing systems. You'll handle both planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and help drive improvements in machine performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carrying out routine and emergency maintenance on production equipment
* Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
* Minimising downtime and ensuring efficient production
* Managing purchase orders for spare parts and supplies
* Supporting production teams and improving workflow
* Ensuring all work complies with health & safety standards
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally food)
* Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic skills
* Proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced setting
* Solid understanding of health & safety practices
* Team player with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
