Offer description

We are seeking an experienced
Automation Engineer
to join a growing engineering team supporting high-precision projects across advanced manufacturing sectors.
The role involves developing, installing, and commissioning automation solutions, with responsibility for PLC/HMI programming, system integration, testing, and validation in line with industry standards such as GAMP 5 and cGMP.
This position offers exposure to cutting-edge technologies including robotics, motion control, and vision systems, with opportunities to work on diverse automation projects from design through to on-site support.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a degree in electronics, automation, computer science, or related engineering discipline, and 3-5 years' hands-on experience in PLC programming.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, install, debug, and modify PLC and HMI programs for new and existing machines.
Perform system integration, testing, and validation (GAMP 5 level, cGMP).
Analyze and troubleshoot automation software in-house, remotely, and on customer sites.
Support development of automation documentation (design specs, test plans, process flow diagrams, electrical IO lists).
Specify and review automation hardware in collaboration with the project team.
Ensure automation solutions are delivered with a focus on maintainability, reliability, efficiency, and usability.
Skills & Experience Required
Degree in electronics, automation, computer science, or related engineering discipline.
3–5 years' hands-on experience in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley Control/Compact Logix, Beckhoff TwinCAT 3, or Siemens TIA Portal).
Strong knowledge of automation logic and motion control.
Experience with HMI development and operator interfaces.
Robotics integration (KUKA, ABB, Fanuc) or machine vision (Cognex, Keyence) experience is an advantage.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
Self-motivated and deadline-driven.
Current driving license with flexibility to travel when required.
