A great opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a growing business and streamline financial reporting to support international expansion.
Reporting to the CEO, this hands-on role involves managing daily accounting functions with support from the admin team. The position offers a broad range of responsibilities within the company.
This role offers flexible hours and is based in the office in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, with a hybrid remote working option.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production of monthly P&L, balance sheet, and management reporting pack.
2. Preparation and submission of sales invoices, cross-referencing payroll hours, tracking billable expenses, and client PO reporting.
3. Monthly review of debtors and creditors ledgers and collection of payments.
4. Preparation, reconciliation, and filing of VAT and payroll tax returns across Ireland, the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Romania.
5. Managing budgets and forecasts across departments including HR, Operations, Training, Management, and Office.
6. Managing internal PO system.
7. Conducting annual RFPs for supplier services, including security partners, uniform and telecom suppliers, and IT providers across Europe.
8. Monthly financial reconciliations.
9. Reporting for BIF.
10. Ensuring accuracy of subcontractor invoices and matching hours of service for cross-billing.
11. Preparing cash flow projections for two months to manage liquidity.
12. Identifying process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
13. Reviewing and costing profitability of current and potential customers.
14. Handling ad hoc projects.
15. Liaising with internal and external auditors as needed.
Requirements:
1. Degree qualification with a professional accounting designation (ACA, ACCA, CPA).
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a management finance role; knowledge of other European jurisdictions is an advantage.
3. Experience in SME or owner-managed businesses is preferred.
4. Ability to work independently.
5. Proficiency in financial software, especially Sage, and strong Word and Excel skills.
