My Client is a leading big blue organisation with iconic global brands and due to continued growth, are now looking for a National Account Manager to join the Irish Business. This is a newly created role, and you will be joining at a really exciting time. My client operate within the health and wellness space and I had a really good meeting with Jonathan the Country Manager to discuss the role. ( Jonahtan is a really big sell to the opportunity ! has a lot of experience working on big blue chip brands; razor sharp;; astute but as important as that- very personable; fair and gives his team a lot of autonomy) I have placed 2 Account Managers in the business and they both speak very highly of him.

In our meeting, Jonathan said the following “ As you know Denis ; we have doubled the size of our Commercial Team in the last 18 month and have had approximately 15% growth in the last year. In terms of performance, Europe is one of the fastest growing continents and within that, Ireland is one of the fastest growing countries to that alone exemplifies the growth and success that we have had ! For this role, I am looking for someone who is commercially astute ; can get buy and plan effectively- and can read data. He/ She will operate within the Convenience and pharmacy channel where we have established relationships with our customers and our distributor but there is still a lot of white space there. I am looking for someone who is curious, can think for themselves and not afraid to ask questions yet work as part of a collaborative team.”

The salary for this position is circa 60,000- 65,000 and comes with an attractive package- It is a one year contract but with the high probability that it will lead to a full time permanent position. My Clint has state of the art offices in Citywest and they operate off a hybrid model with 2 days in the office( sometimes 3 days) and rest at home.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual net sales/margin/profit targets by developing, aligning & implementing commercial plans for your customer portfolio.
* Accurately forecast volume/sales/investment through effective 5P planning and create clear identification of risks and opportunities on a monthly cycle
* Lead the facilitation of customer plans into the SAP system, to include volume and pricing conditions set and approved by the Group Commercial Team.
* Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Irish Market,; by gaining knowledge of the competitor landscape and customer strategy
* Develop and gain buy-in to a 12/24 month plan for Ireland.
* Demonstrate commercial acumen in order to swiftly identify issues and opportunities for resolution/optimisation gaining buy-in from the buyers.
* Lead a cross functional relationship with customers within the Convenience and pharmacy channel– incorporating support from Category Management and Shopper Marketing where required
* Work closely with the UK team and align all plans with cross functional teams based in the UK
* Share market intelligence from Nielsen / Kantar etc with the customers to continue to own the conversation
* Undertake appropriate analytics to understand Ireland performance and necessary course correction plans working with Category Manager to analyse Colgate and competitor promotional plans.
* Work with the Shopper Development Manager on in-store activation opportunities
* Be responsible for ensuring smooth invoice processing, tracking and resolution of any outstanding issues in collaboration with Group Finance.
