We are seeking a dedicated and experienced milker for a 90 cow herd in the Tullamore area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for dairy farming and a strong background in milking operations looking for part time work.Key Responsibilities:Milking cows ensuring efficiency and high standards of animal care.Maintaining accurate records of milking times, cow health, and milk yields.Monitoring cow health and identifying any signs of illness or distress during milking.Ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the parlour, equipment, and surrounding areas.Assisting with the management of milking routines to optimize herd performance.Handling cows with care and respect to minimize stress and ensure animal welfare.Working closely with farm management to maintain milk quality and meet farm goals.Ideal Candidate:Previous experience milking independently in a herringbone parlour, ideally with a herd of 60+ cows.Strong understanding of animal welfare and dairy farming practices.Ability to work efficiently and independently as well as part of a team.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work.Physically fit and able to handle the physical demands of the role.A full, clean driving license is preferred.Interested working morning/evening or both.Working Hours:Morning milking's are at 7amEvening milking's are at 4pm2-3 evenings per week and holiday coverIf you are experienced in dairy farming and passionate about animal welfare, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic and professional farming team.
